Shopping Local this Holiday Season

Christmas shopping can be overwhelming… crowded malls, endless searching the web, and the pressure to find that “perfect” gift. I am adding a fun spin to my Holiday shopping so that my loved ones are receiving a truly unique and thoughtful gift, with a new idea each year. This year my theme is “LOCAL”. All my Christmas shopping will be going back into my community and supporting our local businesses!

“The benefits of shopping small and buying local are numerous and extend not only to small business owners but also to our communities. By buying local, you are supporting your own community and strengthening its economic base.  By supporting your community, you are also reducing environmental impact, creating more good jobs, and keeping your community unique by supporting one-of-a-kind businesses that make up the character of your community as a whole.”
– Maddie Hodges, Editor at Kabbage

There are several stores in our beautiful mountain areas to check out, each unique and offering a wide varieties of gifts and more! I shared my commitment to shop local with my Rustic Point team and we have compiled a short list of just some of our favorite neighboring local businesses here in Evergreen:

Sweetwater Boutique – Eclectic clothing and accessories to fit any price range.

Alpen Way Chalet Mountain Lodge– For someone special… a romantic one night getaway at this charming Bed and Breakfast.

Murphy’s Mountain Grill – Treat yourself to an amazing meal after all that shopping around town!

Hearthfire Books – You can’t go wrong with a good book for a good friend to read, curled up by the fire this winter.

Nellybelle General Store – We love their unique and special floral arrangements for the Holidays, or any season.

At Rustic Point, our favorite gift this year is a Cooking Class.  Give the gift of a memorable experience with good food, good conversation, and a fun night out! Hope to see you all out supporting local Evergreen businesses this year! – Stephanie, Interior Designer
